I have been competing in the monthly Muzzle Blasts Magazine rifle competition this summer and fall. Muzzle Blasts is the magazine of the National Muzzleloading Rifle Association.
You can shoot any blackpowder rifle, including in lines, flint and percussion as long as they don't have scopes.
Shooting is at 25 yards, off hand with an official target supplied in the magazine.
My scores have gotten better, and in September I placed in the top 15.
I have been using both my Armi Springfield .58 caliber musket, and a .45 Thompson Center Hawken Rifle.
This is the first time I have ever shot in official competition. Its been alot of fun.
