I am in search of some info on a revolver I believe to be a S& W Model 2.
Facts:
- It belonged to the grandfather of a 90 year old man.
- Octagon barrel is 6 inches and stamped "Smith Wesson Springfield
Mass" on the top of the barrel
- Six shot capacity
- serial number is 13441
- some pitting but not too deep, functional but the barrel is very wobbly at the hinge pin and the pin has been peened as an attempted fix.

I can't find a caliber but it appears to be .32 rimfire. It also has patent info on the cylinder that is unreadable other than the word July. I'd like to know a value range and any other info you may provide.

It is a Model No 2, and if that's the original blueing, it has stood the test of time VERY well!....but the peening will hurt it's value. Depending how bad the butchery to the hinge pin area is, probably $2000.

Yeah, that's in EXCELLENT condition!

I've never seen a S&W that old in that good of shape!

$1,500-3,000 easy!
