View Full Version : The Photo of a Perfect Pistol

Once in a while we come across an image of a pistol so perfect in our eyes. We could very well be drawn by its line, finish, its history, its lineage, caliber, size, and God-knows what.

So show us what you consider (as of this moment, at least) the photo of a perfect pistol that assumably, you'd want to own someday.

To start off, here's my idea of a perfect pistol (owned by FE700 of the 1911forum.com):

Pards,

Ganda ng pag bihis mo. Where did you get and how much yung forward grip set-up? Tony Pascual had a different version that he displayed at the gunshow. He was selling it at P5T. Also, yung nasa likod ng slide saan gawa? Parang mas slimmer design than the one I have. Thanks. :)

how about the mag capacity? ilan na laman?

if you really want to drop a # or more on your trigger try using the titanium striker with the 4# wolf cut 1 1/2 coil..and the plunger spring 1 coil.. it dropped another 1# for me, im playing with another G35 again for IDPA and some pin shoots average is a crisp and reliable 1.5-2 pounds ....this info is only for competition use only;)

Hermo,
Congrats on the purchase. One of the best cheap 1911's you can shoot with.

The gun has the ff. features : Flat top slide, combat hammer, videki style trigger, front & rear serrations, beavertail grip safety, novak style rear sight, wrap around rubber grip, forged frame & slide, out of the box reliability and most of all less than P20k...Perfect di ba?

rats, how come mine does not come with the novaks, videki style trigger, front serrations and flat top?

try mo lagyan ng 3M skateboard tape to cover up the brass. Kaskasin mo lang muna yung 3M tape para di masyado matalim.

Nakatulong ba mag dampen nang recoil?

Why show a pic of a 1911 when everyone knows that they are a
project out of the box. Just buy a Sig or Glock, you'll
save alot of money in the long run. Expects a rant over my
post!

With 3 Baers, 3 Springfields, 3 Kimbers and two S&W PC1911s that hasn't been my experience at all. You should have told me sooner! ;i

Cebuboy - what you have is really the Factory Enhanced model but mine is the Factory Enchanced "Special" model. The special model is almost the same as the Police model except for the ambi safety and recoil guide rod of the latter.Nice Norincos indeed.

Also acquired a Norinco 1911 Cavalry model. Nothing much but what attracted me was that it has no Norinco logo nor a made in China mark, well aside from the forged steel. :)

Thanks Valor1.;)

Excuse me Sir for this naive question but how did you know that it was indeed a Norinco? Are there any marking visible inside the pistol?

Hermo Gut

PMMA97 - the pistol has no markings inside. The only visible markings are : 1911 CAVALRY (left side of the slide), GOVERNMENT MODEL (right side of the slide), FORGED STEEL on the left side of the frame and the serial no. on the right side. Upon inspection, the steel appearance & craftsmanship really resembled that of a Norinco. It was bought in Espinelli Gun Store by the original owner. I saw this model before at Hahn Manila & Trust Trade , actually there still exist some, the Cavalry Model , most of them the Commander version.Don't know the reason behind the omission of Norinco markings other than Political (overseas).;Q

Picture of Norinco 1911 Cavalry model, note that no made in China marking on the frame (normally on the front right side of the frame), only the serial no. and "GOVERNMENT MODEL" mark on the slide.:)
