How do you determine the present value of an old gun?

In the US, I think they have a blue book of gun values published by somebody whose name I cant seem to recall (Fjestad? Fjestal?)

Here, I think the best you could do is browse buy and sell and other classified ads mags.

I would like to know how much is the current worth of two old guns:

1. a japanese nambu 8mm in chrome
2. a german Arminius 22 lr revolver eight shots, stainless, target sights, and walnut grips

Hi jundeleon :)

Most of Steve Fjestad's 'Blue Book of Gun Values' used to be online (albeit dated, like 1998). Can't seem to find it now. I should have saved the whole lot of it...

Your best bet is to simply Google the particular pistol,
as this turns up both asking and realized auction prices:

Nambu 8mm chrome finish,
depending on condition and included originals (mags, cleaning kit, etc.):
apparently US$180 to US$490...

Arminius 22LR revolver, 8 shot, stainless(?) w/ walnut stocks
Weihrauch-Arminius made several 8-shot 22LR revolver models, from snubnosed 2 1/2", 4" up to 6" barrels. They made lots of .22WMR hndguns, too. If your 22LR has target sights, that would be the 6-incher. Model number (HW-???) would help in your search.
