My new G23......Thank you Dick's Sporting Goods

The reason I thank Dick's Sporting Goods is that if they had not bought out Galyan's and instituted their PC policy of no handgun sales, I would not be the proud owner of a new G23 for $399.
It cme with 2 10 rd clinton mags but who cares, I can find std. caps for $20 now. Oh yeah and I need a holster(Kydex, any suggestions) and a .357 barrel and...............

I purchased the "Sure-Lock" from Lone Wolf (http://www.lonewolfdist.com) made by Holsters Plus. I also got my extra G23 barrel from them for my G32.
Below is a little more about the SureLock.

"The Sure-Lock 3 - 10 has a 10 degree forward cant. The Sure-Lock 3 locks into the trigger guard to give a very secure retention, and is easy to draw.

Just place your finger under the tab and push out. Uses a 10 degree forward cant to allow for more comfortable wear and faster deployment. Has a 2" band around the slide instead of the standard 3" band allowing for a more agressive draw."

Has your g32 been hard chromed by trip? That looks just like the finish on my g27. I want to do the g23 and g30, but I shot 75rds through my g27 and I got nicks on the facing above extractor at the outside edge,looks chipped i think. Not got reply from them yet and I have emailed 2 times over past week or so.

No and sorry to hear yours chipped. I sent the slide to Lone Wolf (http://www.lonewolfdist.com/) and they had it done. So far after thousands of rounds, of .40S&W/.357SIG it still looks like it did 6yrs ago when I had it done..... :cool:

Well I like the idea of a paddle holster,easy on easy off, but hate when the frame(grip)hangs out. so I am looking for a kydex or leather holster that stays close to the body.

Also I have four mags and a .357 barrel on their way and bought 2 std caps from the gun shop I go to in Lexington. This is getting as bad as my AR-15 addiction.

look at the "Fist" kydex holsters....One of the main reasons I like mine so much as I tucks the gun close to my body making concealing the 23 easy. The holster is very stable and retention is very good. Mine was cheap too.
