The grip on my PM9 seems a little slim and, after shooting, my hand is a little sore. Any suggestions on slip on grips or something to soften the impact?

Having tried both the A-grip and the slip-on Houge grip on my PM9s, I found the Houge Handall Jr to be the best because it also ads a little palm swell, which helps somewhat. Because of it's size, there's not much you can do to make a comfortable shooter out of a PM9 which is why I sold both of mine. The A-Grip is OK but IMHO the Houge Handall Jr is better because of the slight palm swell. You'll find staunch supporters for each product on this forum. The A-grip runs about $25 bucks while the Houge is around $9.95. You decide.
The MK9 with Kahr's optional wood grips is a much more comfortable shooter and that's a fact.
My MK9 Elite 2003 with my wood grips(it came with .50 cent plastic grips, why?), polished definitely wasn't cheaper. With the Wolff stuff and other accessories we're talking over a $1,000 for a pocket gun. ALthough I would never wear it in a pocket. J-frames work in pockets and are completely discreet.
People think I am nuts and should buy an STI or a Kimber. The new Kimbers with the external extractors are very nice in a 4".
