Is there an easy way to play DVD's and wmv files with this OS? Thanks.

You need the Windows Media Player codecs and libdvdcss. http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/index.php?

with the right repositories (i think the freshmeat site),

#yum install libdvdcss

and then run xine.

Looks like there might be a problem with WMV files in some installs http://bugzilla.livna.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73

Thanks...Not real proficient with linux, workin' on it though. Tried using yum to install ogle, but couldn't get it working. Went and got all the rpm's...ogle is working now...Though ejecting DVD doesn't always work using both software and hardware.

I have that problem sometimes too.Pushing the DVD button and right clicking the desktop DVD drive icon.I have one PC I can push the button and one that I must use the eject command when there is a disk in the drive. When it's empty it will open just by pushing the button though. Also you can try downloading updates to your software.

For some reason if I'm logged in as root is works using icon eject. If not root, doesn't work either way.

Sounds like it's the permissions settings in yours.
