Successfully installed FF yesterday w/o any significant issues. http://glocktalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=317953

There are a couple of questions though.

Cookie Management: How are you guys managing your cookies? Using the default settings or customizing them? Currently my settings are "All Sites" checked and "Ask me every time" under "Keep Cookies." These settings are a pain, but I want some control.

Extensions: I had a difficult time seeing where Extensions were downloaded/installed to. I expected them to just show up on the Toolbar. Initially I found them in Tools>Extensions, but I can't do anything with them there other than update or uninstall. Finally found an Icon for them in View>Toolbars>Customize and was able to drag them to the Toolbar from there. Is this the only/proper way to get them operational and on the Toolbar?

I was successful in downloading and installing Agent Switcher and SpellBound using this method, however when I try to download ieview it appears in Tools>Extensions and no where else, so I have not be able to get it to work. Any thoughts??

User's Manual: Is there anyplace where the User's Manual may be downloaded?

Thanks again.

IEView works in your context menu. Right click and it should show up there when there is a page or link to open.

For cookies try Cookie Culler.

I don't have many items in the tool bar, several extensions that I use are in the context menu. Some only show up when needed (when they can be used).

Some of the extensions are a little vague as to how they work.

Cookies:
Turn cookies off by default.
Use Permit Cookies (http://mfe.gorgias.de/) to allow specific sites to store cookies with just a keystroke (alt+c)
Use Cookie Culler (http://cookieculler.mozdev.org/index.html) to protect and track the stored cookies

Extensions:
Each extension has a different application and will show up in a different manner (toolbar, tools window, download tab, hotkey, mouse gesture, etc.). Read the manual or homepage for the specific installed extension.

Manual:
The links given by Washington D.C. provide more information than most users manuals, again IMHO.

Tools>Options>Privacy>Cookies. I have "Allow Cookies" and "For original website only." This eliminated 75% of the crap cookies I was getting. The Ad Block extension took care of the rest.

Extensions for the most part are located in the C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\default.xxx\extensions folder, most times in their own individual folder. There is no need to activate them, as they integrate with the browser and come on when you start it. You can go to Tools>Extensions for a list of installed extensions, and right click on any of them to edit options, if there are any options.
