FoxyC 12-09-2004, 11:05 I have a Mauser HSc from WWII that my G-pa "acquired" from a Nazi officer. It is in pretty good shape, still blue. I haven't fired it, probably never will. It rests in a case with his medals and his flag. God bless him and the Greatest Generation. ;? chevrofreak 12-09-2004, 15:00 Winchester 1892 .25-20 made in 1893 or 1894. hickok45 12-09-2004, 18:00 Got a couple of 1894 vintage Colt SAA .45s. One is a belgian made side by side two barrels, two triggers, two hammers and one parrot bill grip. Probably 1830s vintage. The other is a Colt pocket pistol. 1835 to 1845 vintage. about .30 Cal. This piece has a built in rammer under the barrel, and it was loaded when I acquired it. I have NO idea how old the powder was, but it did go off when I unloaded the gun and burned the powder. Belonged to my GGrandfather. grendelbane 12-25-2004, 15:43 My oldest is a model 1895 Chilean Mauser which they rebarrelled to 7.62. Don't worry, it does not get shot much any more, and then only with lighter loads. I am not sure of its exact age, but it is pre-1898, as Century shipped it to my door, no FFL. It functions fine, and is reasonably accurate. Hate those sights, however. trozau 12-30-2004, 09:09 My oldest personally pedigreed gun is a first generation Glock 17 bought NIB back in 1988. It has Austrian proof marks on the frame, slide and barrel and a test fire date code of June 1988 on the barrel. AnimalK 12-30-2004, 22:35 Winchester 94 pre-'64 made 1951 Winchester 1897 made in 1903 (Christmas Present);H DaisyCutter 01-01-2005, 09:57 Russian Mosin M-44, year of manufacture was 1944. I have a back pocket holster for it that belonged to my great uncle who was a police officer in the 20's to 1940's. DesertEagle 01-27-2005, 09:47 Oldest, my Enfield 1 mk 3, at 1916. Also have a '43 Mosin, a '53 CZ-52, and a k31 which is presumably from the 40's. Haven't taken the time to check out what all the marks mean to establish mfg date. It appears to be marked 1946 on the top of the receiver, but I'm unsure whether this is truly the year of mfg or some other mark that just happens to have that number. D.E.
