What fun!!

The hours spent over that wooden US jigsaw map 33 years ago have finally paid off!!

(I've looked for years for one for my kids but I've never found one worth a hoot.)

2nd shot:
94%, 6 miles, 253 secs, 47/50.

[faux sarcasm] Thanks alot Glockrunner!! [/faux sarcasm]

Me, my wife, and my oldest boy ended up playing that thing (and the advanced one) past midnight!

(And I didn't know what I was gonna do last night!)

:) Fun and beneficial too.

Of course I've played it a couple of dozen times. There is some luck involved in not getting one of the states in the middle of the country before you build reference points from the borders.

Okay... for all the ones who REALLY want a challenge, that version is the company's "intermediate" version. Try the advanced version where the states don't stick around after you've got them in place!!

There are several version of the game and other ones at the site: http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/web_games.htm

If you really want to prove your powers of high school geography, try the games for other continents... http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/web_games_menu.htm

Memorize index marks, for instance; halfway up Nebraska's height it is even with the bottom of Lake Michigan (that's a different game, haha) and the west edge is almost even with the second low point in Texas:
