Ted was reading on a plane when he noticed that one of the engines seemed to wind down and stop. Moments later, the loudspeaker comes on.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen, this is your pilot speaking. I regret to inform you that one of our four engines has lost power. However, do not be worried, this plane was designed to fly on three engines alone. Thank you."

This worried Ted some but he went back to reading. Suddenly, a large screeching noise could be heard all throughout the plane. The loudspeaker came back on.

"Uuuhhhh...this is your pilot speaking again. Unfortunately, one of the engines just seized and stopped working. However do not worry, this plane was designed to fly on two engines alone. Thanks."

Ted was just absorbing this when there was a shudder and explosion. The loud speaker comes on again.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we have just lost our third engine. Although this plane was NOT designed to fly on one engine alone, it has been known to do so. To take your mind off of your predicament please look down and to your left. You will see three white dots. These are parachutes. They are the pilot, co-pilot, and navigator, this is a recorded message.

PS Have a nice flight."
