is this truly a 1911 with SIG refinement? is this the "cadillac of 1911's" now? or is this still plagued by the "replace your springs often" mantra common to so many 1911's?

this is not a flame attempt...i'm just REALLY curious if SIG has managed to improve on a good gun. because i LOVE both guns...it would be awesome to have both in one package.

i got alot of room for more to come next thing i will buy is a K31 swiss carabine and then a sig 550 (millitary issue not the civilian one) then i want a new Ak AMD and a 1911..................... my list goes on. :)

:) that revolver there is a smith&wesson in caliber 38. normal dont know mutch of it at all it is fun to shoot sounds like a 22lr.

I bought it used from a friend at work about a year or so ago. He had just got it someone else. I replaced all the springs, The decocker spring was wore out, and added Hogue Grips and grip screws. I bought a 12 round mag for it to supplement the factory 10 rounder.

due to the NATo agreement they probably have to stay with the 9mm

different special forces and what not can get whatever they want but the basic calibur for the majority will still probably be the 9mm.

I agree with you that the .40 would be the better choice.

Sig 1911. All factory Sig. Carry w/ Rail. No "manhole cover". Checkered front strap. STI style grip safety. Polished feed ramp. Polished and throated barrel. lanyard MSH. beveled ,chamfered mag well. Three dot trijicon night sights. 4# trigger. 8 round magazines. Zero malfunctions.

This is the only SIG that I own. I am not a big fan of double/single action, but I have to admit that the SIG does have a good trigger for a double action.

I have shot quite a few different SIGS and kind of thought that they were overpriced, although great quality.

This P6 shoots everything. I heard there were problems with hollowpoints in some of them, so I tried to make it stop, but it did not.

It is a range gun for me and shoots 90% ball ammo, but it is dependable enough that I would (and have actually) carried it CCW.
