How do I post a picture from my computer. Don't have a digital camera, but I have some pics in MY PICTURES/MY DOCUMENTS.
You can either have them hosted by a site like photobucket, or you
can click on the choose button at the bottem of a thread when you post
look for your pic and double click on it, and wa la;)

Thank you. I guess you mean the browse button.

;Q You must have the picture on, either, your hard drive or a digital camera card. One method that is reported to work is to use the, 'Browse' button in the GT reply dialog box. Select, 'Browse' and navigate to the sub-directory where the picture is stored, then, select its path. Hit submit and your text and picture should be sent together.
If you don't use this method, (and I'm starting to suspect that on some machines certain security features will prevent it from working) you will need to use a third party on-line photo server.
Photobucket.com is one such host. You upload your photos to the host; and, then, use the assigned photo, 'IMG' path in your post. When you send to GT the photo referenced on that path will appear along with your text.

It's no more difficult than that! ;)

:) OK, I can't get the browse button to work on my machine, either. Maybe someone will venture a guess as to why not? (Norton Internet Security, or the Windows Firewall - maybe?)
Here's two of my own file photos from Photobucket.com -

In order to open an account with a picture hosting website like this one: Open Photobucket.com in Internet Explorer. (or whatever browser you prefer) Choose the, 'Sign Up' button; and setup an account for yourself.
Thereafter you will be able to upload photos off, either, your hard drive or a digital camera card. Then you can size them to fit into your GT posts. (Experience is the best teacher; but, I like a range from, about, 75 to 110Kb.)
IMPORTANT NOTE: If the first picture you post is too large, you'll have to delete it from the HOST website; (in order to clear the memory file) and, then, return to your hard drive - RENAME THE PICTURE - and upload it to Photobucket a second time. Now use the, 'Edit' button to select one of the 3 reductions in size: 75, 50, or 25 percent of the original picture. (You judge.)
Photobucket ain't perfect; but, it is free and reasonably easy to use.
Hope this helps! :)

Arch Angel:
Thanks for the clear explanation. Those hints were right on the money. I'll give it a try.
