My dept. is issuing us Sig229R pistols next month. Who makes concealed carry holsters for the 229r? I love the pistol but question the need for the rail since they didnt buy the lights.;e

I love the pistol but question the need for the rail since they didnt buy the lights.;e ksss 01-11-2005, 20:05 You probably wont be able to appreciate the rail as much as the uniform guys will (presuming everyone got the P229R). However, you can carry the light separately taking it on and off as needed. Might be difficult concealing the 229 with a light attached. Carrying separately is certainly not to the best way to carry a lighted weapon, but you at least have the capability when needed. I love having my P220ST with a light. I will never be without one. It shouldn't be hard finding a holster for it a quick search on the net should give you more options than you care to look at. bcphoenix 01-14-2005, 06:51 I believe Blade-Tech (www.blade-tech.com) has IWB and conealable belt/paddle holsters for light mounted weapons.
