How many of you have updated recoil spring and guide rod?
What type rod did you choose and what spring weight and why.
I use a captured ISMI metal rod in my G23 with a 22 lb. ISMI spring. I've had no function problems, it knocks the edge off the recoil of the G23 with heavy loads, and it keeps my brass from getting dinged up.

I have a stainless steel captured guide rod (with factory 18# spring weight) from GlockMeister in both of my G23s.

Wolff non-captured steel with #18 springs. I keep a set of #20's in the range bag, but rarely use them. I like to keep weights stock, except for my trigger.

I have a Glockmeister stainless steel guide rod with captured 18 lb. spring, but the OEM guide rod/recoil spring works just as well. The stainless guide rod/recoil spring costs five times more, but it did not reduce recoil or improve accuracy.

I have Wolff non-captured steel and a Wolff 22# spring. It seems to definitely take the edge off the hotter loads and it has not caused me any FTFs or any other mechanical problems with about 2000 rounds and counting with that combo.
I like the Wolff 20lb. spring in my G22 and G23.
