Harddrives

I have two harddrives on my computer, one is strictly for storage. The other day I came upon a place on my computer where you could place a check mark in a box if you wanted to use the same settings for both harddrives or configure them seperatley. Now I can't find this again. Anyone know where this setting is located? I have XP. Thanks for any help.

My guess would be somewhere in the Device Manager?

what kind of settings are we talking about?

right click recycle bin, properties, and you get the option:
"configure drives independently".
