View Full Version : New Model 33
Hey guys. Some of you know I sold all my Glocks off slowly a few years back except for my little M36. Well, I traded it and two magazines, all the original paperwork and box for a used M33, 3 magazines, one with the Pierce Plus 1 extension, all the original paperwork and the box, 1 box of Triton Hi-Vel 115gr BHP, 1 box of Speer Lawman 125gr TMJ ammo and $100 bucks out the door.
?1. Did I do ok?
?2. What kind of ammo do you find works the best?
Appreciate any info you can give me. Been a .45 ACP man most my life. Still have 3 1911's but this new Sig cartridge has some very interesting ballistics.\

Sweet little gun, I love my G32... for some serious loads for the SIG shooters, check out www.doubletapammo.com for some GREAT ammo:)
I shot some Tryton Hi-Vel 115 jhp today and at 10 yards put them all in less than a 3 inch circle and on the X. It really does shoot nice.
Does have a bite to it. The 125 gr Lawman FMJ didn't have near the bite but it actually shot the Hi-Vel better.
The DoubleTap stuff looks good. I may try some.

The Double Tap ammo is definitely the way to go. Happy shooting.

I carry Speer Gold Dots in my G-33.For range practice Speer Lawman TMJ and American Eagle FMJ work best.Winchester USA white bax works okay just not my favorite.I don't care for the Remington ammo at all.S&B ammo has too many bad primers.Hornady is nice 367 Sig ammo but expensive.Federal preminum shoots best but not easy to find.
For the heck of it, I ask at Wallmart for som 357 Sig. The girl handed me a box of (yep you guessed it) .357 magnums. Knew she would but had to prove it to myself :-)
Carrying the Triton Hi-Vels right now. Got some Gold Dot on order. Buddy of mine is going to replace the New York trigger spring for me Saturday. That'll help my tendency to shoot slightly low and to the left with it. It's me cause when I sandbag it and use the pad of my finger, it'll eat the x out at 15 yards. When I freehand and shoot faster, I have a tendecy to use more finger and with the long 8# trigger pull, push to the left and down. Shooting metal plates with this is like shooting them with one of my .45's, it hits hard.

I might be wierd but I carry 147gr Hornady XTP 357SIG ammo factory reloaded by Maine Cartridge company available at www.ammunitionstore.com
It shoots really smooth and doesn't have as much blast as some of the other loads I've shot. I really need to chrono it though.

My 33 feeds on Gold Dots, Cor-Bon and Triton Q-shoks. All of them works fine without problems.
I carry 125-grain Ranger-Ts in my 32 and 33; GoldDots in all my .40s and DoubleTap exclusively in the G20. Can't go wrong with any of them in the right load.
