I'm curious what lb. recoil spring is used in the G37? I have not been able to find any specs.......I'm guessing the same as the G21 but, I would like to be sure. Thanks for the help.

According to Custom Glock Racing @www.custom-glock.com, the stock spring is 17 lbs.

Good thing you told me, I went looking after that and could not find anything......I thought I was going crazy. Again, thank you.

mine has a 5579 in it
so does my 34
(and I assume 17/22/35, etc)
I believe that the spring is the same as for the 17. Mine seems to be anyway.

Thanks guy's. Just ordered non-captive rod from Wolf and 17 lb. spring from ISMI.
I hope the ISMI spring fits the Wolff rod.

Oh, I didn't think of that. However, I did order the recoil rod and spring set from Wolff. Have you heard of problems with them fitting?

Stick with the standard glock spring on a metal rod, my 17# ISMI seemed more like 19#'s and made me have a few failures to feed

How about the Wolff 17#?
I have a 20# and a stainless rod and have not had a problem yet.

I find it interesting that everyone seems to have different spring wieght opinions and they all seem to work for them.
My stock rod has served me well since September 2003. Different manufacturers make their metal rods in varying diameters. Same with spring makers.

I got the Wolff rod and #17 spring in the mail yesterday and I have a few questions. One- What is the easiest way to install a non-captive spring & rod? I have had a heck of a time trying to get that thing in there. Two- It came with two springs, one little spring ( About a third the size in all dimensions) and one that is definitley the recoil spring. What is the smaller spring for? Also, what is the difference in springs? The setup in it now has a flat spring and the Wolff spring is round. Thanks for all the help, Jeff
Wolff always includes a firing pin spring with their recoil springs. Or in Glock's case, a striker spring. That's what the small spring is.
