Serial # info

Can anyone here run a colt serial number and tell me some info about it please??

It is a Military 1911 A1 and it says property of the government and the number is 955036, the frame and slide have matching numbers and it is parkerized.

Is there anything else you can tell me about this gun?

It was made in 1943. It should have a proof mark like this:
