I just recieved a few boxes of Double Tap with the 125gr Gold Dot bullet. I compared the DT ammo to actual Speer Gold Dot's and it's different. The Speer has 5 "pedals" and the DT has 6. So what's the deal? This might be old news but I'd like to know if the GD design has changed.

I think the Speer Gold Dot for the .357 SIG cartridge has gone through more than a few changes; here is a link to some info about an earlier change:

I haven't seen a 5-petal bullet yet, but I'm still using up some older stuff.

Yeah I have some very early 357 Sig Gold Dots.They are different from current factory ammo.Buying bullets for handloading you can find all versions of Gold Dots on shelves.
