Case life expenctancy of .40 in a G22?

I posted this above and the most strait forward answer I got was 12-15x loaded. I know about all the rules of my equipment and my procedure and how hot my loads are will be the determining factor.

I am just curious as to how and when others toss their brass. I am going to be mainly shooting for practice and have no power factor that I have to meet other than loads giving enough recoil to be realistic as a duty round. I will be using Berry's bullets "plated" with Hodgden tightgroup loaded fairly mild with win cases and fed primers. Can someone also give me a good charge to start with? Thanks ahead of time.

The stuff is darn near free. I load it a couple times and throw it out.

I got about 12000 cases from my local dealer(he got them from the state police shooting range 10 cases ;a) for $40. I basically pick it up when it is convenient and throw them in a box marked 2nd fire, when the box is full I reload it and so on. When I see any of the rounds going into that box that show signs of bulging, cracking etc I get rid of the WHOLE box and start over. If I make it to 6 times fired, they go as well, just because it is so cheap to get more! So I get about 6k out of every 1k of cases so I have enough to do 72,000 rounds;e

My friends think I am crazy for brewing my own beer.
I shoot around 500 rounds of ammo every week or two.
If you reload, that is a lot of work. Walmart has cheap ammo. Is it a cost saver? Brewing beer is due to a better quality of beer result.
