I have always wanted a 1911 and I bought a Kimber, stainless TLE in May. I can shoot it and I have about 500 rounds through it but it just doesn't fit !
I think I may have found the answer, my glock 34 has a larger grip and just feels natural, I am borrowing a friends Para widebody two weeks from now to see how it feels, has anyone else experienced this problem ?
If this is my problem is there a way to fix this on the Kimber or is it time to sell the Kimber and find a widebody 1911.

Try a set of wrap-around 1911 grips. I think Houge has some. They will cover your 30LPI front-strap checkering but usually come with molded finger grooves.

I like 1911 single-stack pistols because they are thin in the grip. In fact I use McCormick ultra-thin grips to make it even thinner.

How do you like the Stainless TLE. I'm a couple days away from purchasing a new 1911 and that is one of the contenders.

Busterdog, I like my TLE, I shoot it well, it just doesn't come to my hand naturally, I,m hoping to find a reasonably inexpensive means to resolve the problem.

It could be your grip bill. A 1911 takes a different grip than a glock or other widebody pistol.
Take a look here and try it this way if you aren't already. It may feel a bit awkward at first but keep at it.

You may want to try a arched S&A (smith and alaxander) mainspring housing.
Worked for me!

I put a Hogue rubber wraparound grip (&19.95 @ gun show) on my 1911 and it make it world of difference! Feel MUCH better in my handds now. My be what your looking for.
