Just picked up my Armscor full size blue .45 1911. What a great gun for the price. $370 out the door, comes with everything that can be found on the Springfield Loaded models. Beavertail, Novak Sights, dovetailed front sight, lightweigth trigger, ambi-safety and skeletonized hammer. Also comes with case and two Novak 8 round mags. (FYI Armscor makes Rock Island and Charles Daly as well, but I have heard from many Armscor has the best quality control.)
After two nights of polishing internals, barrel, rails and getting everything properly lubed I took it to the range last night. I could not believe my eyes. Not only is this gun a tack driver at 20ft. But I put 100 rounds of WWB through it, WITHOUT A SINGLE MALFUNCTION! I tried everything I could do to get this thing to hiccup and couldn't do it.
Being that this is my first 1911, I was very happy and suprised. From what I've read alot of the 1911's need a breaking in process, complete with malfunctions and adjustments. This gun hit the ground running right out of the box!
To make a short story long, I would not hesitate to recommend this gun to anyone looking to get into the world of 1911's without breaking the bank.
