I'm Infected

I ran my Panda's anti-virus scan the other day, and to my suprise
I was infected with W32 Netsky D..gggggrrrrrrr!. I went online
to Panda to d/l their removal software, but I ran into a snag.

Panda's software would not d/l to my computer. So I tried
Mc Affee, and it would not d/l the removal software either.

I'm currently running XP Home with SP2.

This is what my scan uncovered W32/NETSKY. D Worm

show letter [ 19 ] . htm
results renamed

I would appreciate any ideas that you good people could come up
with, In helping me get this worm out of my machine.

reboot in safe mode, and try it.

David may I ask what booting it in safe mode will will do
to eliminate the worm ?

Think he was saying boot into safe mode and run anti-virus scan again...but I don't know for sure?

If you have the file location, just go to it and delete it. This usually doesn't work, but I have done it before on a friends pc.

If you hit F8 before the Windows starting screen comes up, you'll get a menu with a list of options. Choose 'safe mode with networking'.
