The only bear I saw this past season was doing mach 5 under my stand, and for all I know is still going!;f Got me a trail camera for chrismas so hopefully next season I'll be able to post some pics, even if it is doing mach 5!!

I wish. A friend of mine took one this year (no pics), I had no luck myself. One of those deals that you only see them until you're actually looking for them. From everybody I talked to that hunts bear, this season wasn't all that great this year in AZ. That's only 2 areas of the state though.

A buddy did see a some brown bear on his elk hunt in Wyoming.

One of the guys in the group killed an elk just before sundown and they went back in the morning to gather it up. They found this sow and her two cubs.

The guide rode up to push them off the elk. Takes some big brass one's if you ask me. He even snapped a picture.

Bow hunting a bear takes some balls.

Nah... you're in a tree when you take your shot... no big deal.

(Now, going to & from that same tree stand in the dark, where you know bears are, does take "a few". ^c)

Hey AK,
That looks like a nice one. What did he measure out to and where was it?

here's a bear my Father-in-law shot 5 years ago. It was the third largest bear taken in our county that year, it went 350 pounds and I can't remember what it's skull measured, but it did make it into Boone and Crocket. That's my wife by the way.;f

Here's a bear I shot 2 or 3 years ago in Brittish Columbia near 100 mile house. It measured out to 6'3 and the skull was 19 and 3/16 inches. One shot from a 7mm Mag with factory Hornady 175 gr. Interlocks. I don't have the pictures from the field on my computer.
