If this P45 works out, then I may have to divorce my G23!
Seriously, I have been looking for a single-stack striker fired .45 for YEARS. It is my Holy grail, but there is something to disqualify all of them:
H&K USP-C...if H&K's magazine release was a dog, I'd take it out back and shoot it!
SW99 .45....see above.
Para-Ord LDA....uses a manual safety with a light trigger. If I wanted that, I'd re-train with a 1911 (To this day I have NEVER picked up a 1911 to shoot it and remembered to take the safety off. It's a curse)
G36...plagued by the reliability using light bullets. I don't know what it is, but every G36 I ever shot short-stroked on light ammunition and failed to feed. I think perhaps they are more prone to limp-wristing?
But if the P45 is reliable, then I'll buy one. I'll probably buy one as soon as positive reviews on the reliability show up first in gun rags, and then here. When I hear good things here, then its time. Everyone was waiting for the PM9's recoil system to have reliability problems, and they never materialized. So I think Kahr will do a good job.
Still, though, I agree. If there was a T45, I'd buy that instead.
