The statistics that I got from a very reliable source at Kahr who spent valuable time on retrieving this data I want to first say thank you to A special woman who works until 8:30-9:00 pm dealing with your guys problems and rectifying them as quickly as possible.

Mr.Patriots Man, Mr.Eagles man (T.O. is playing in the bowl ;f) owes you a big thank you for taking care of my piece quickly and personally. Thank you, Big S! Another worker at Kahr who gets there at 7:30 am and busts his rear fixing your guns and getting them back to you so soon.

There are a total of 400 Elites in this world. If you just assume they are all in this country, That leaves about 8 per state and that is with states like Texas which is the size of a country itself. I was told verbatim that the Elites are collectors items and will probably gain in value in time. If you guys decide to carry them as your everyday piece anyhow is up to you. Both of mine are hitting the safe and my K9 Elite03 is also hitting the safe.
Remember, I don't know if any of those are exported, and how many went to the executives of the company. That number could easily be cut in half.

The conclusion of this post is if you find an MK9 Elite 03, you immedietely call me with the phone number of where it is located so I can check it's authenticity out.;f ;f

COMPMAN, there is a kinda rare all black Kahr MK9 Elite 98 in a small gunshop in my town. It's in good condition with two small scratches just under the slide release (lock) lever. He's asking $400.00 for it. Are you interested? He is an FFL would have to ship to your FFL. Let me know OK?
I'm getting a NIB MK40 Elite 98 on Saturday, I played with the idea of getting the one I'm talking about here but the gun budget is shot.

Gunmeister, I just posted a black Elite 2000 pic from their website. The '98's don't come in black I was told. My second MK9 Elite 03, K40 covert, and my TP9 (having the sights done at Kahr) will all be here tomorrow. ALL paid for via mastercard but the funds are on empty to buy more guns unless it's something out of this world.

COMPMAN, I had the gun in my hand. It's black slide and frame with Elite 98 lazered on the frame. Saw it with my own four eyes.

well I'll be damned. You sure it's a factory finish? I believe you.

I couldn't swear to the fact that it was a factory finish but it dang sure has a black frame and slide. Ask your point of contact at Kahr if this is a factory original and if it is, ask how rare it may or may not be. I've seen several MK9 Elite 98s but never an all black one.

Well, what I can tell you is that they did not offer the DLC in '98 so it had to be blued or the Wilson special they offered. They did make a limited model that Wilson Combat enhanced. Maybe that was one of those or it could just be plain bluing in a frame that got a beating and needed a cheap finish. I will find out today.

No, it's not DLC, it's a flat black finish over a 4041 high carbon steel. Dottie told me that it's not ultra rare and there are some around. These were some of the earlier Kahr's that did have some rust problems as high carbon steel is not as rust resistant as stainless steel.

I have never seen a wilson special in person. That might have been it or any company that does coatings. Gunmeister, I need you to help me find a good and reasonable coating place that can give me a black gun.
