Every Kahr all stainless gun such as the "K" and "MK" series are built exceptionally well. In my personal opinion, an opinion not shared by all who subscribe here, the stainless Kahrs are superior in all respects to the polymer line.
Which one shoots the best? Both the K9 and MK9 are great shooters and after the break-in period, are totally reliable. But, the K9 is more comfortable to shoot because of the larger grip size compared to the "MK" series and is slightly more accurate out around the 25 yard range. If deep concealment is what you're after then the "MK" series is what you might want to consider. The "K" series are no problem to conceal and are only slightly larger than the "MK" series. If I could only have one, it would be the K9 which is arguably the finest American made handgun available today.

I own both. The K9 is a small pistol but the mk9 is a tiny one. I have added a grip extender to my MK and find it makes a definite difference in control and accuracy. +p+ in the Mk is easy to control and velocities remain very high. The Remington and Winchester 115+p+ are both in the high 1200's and the 127+p+ is in the high 1100's. Loads are faster and a little more controllable in the K9. If I could only have one it would depend upon my uses. If it were for concealed carry and pratice only for that purpose I would choose the MK or take a good look at the PM. If I wanted a general purpose 9 that could do recreational target practice, concealed carry and take along as a field gun I would choose the K9. Cant go wrong with either.

I'm with brother Gunmeister. K9 for sure.

I found the MK9 to be a bit more of a "handful" and not as dead-on accurate on the range as the K9, which I think is like the Goldilocks "just right" carry gun. Not too big, not too small... you know.

Now, I'm not sure it matters when it comes to shooting bad guys, but that accuracy and shootability was a major selling point for me. For while small, the K9 didn't seem to suffer from pocket gun syndrome.

And it's not like the K9 is any harder to conceal. It's still a very slim profile.

The MKs are kind of cute and cool, but when they write the history books, or do a Discovery Channel documentary on all time great handguns, it's the Kahr K9 that I think will be remembered. Even if Kahr turns out to be a flash in the pan relative to some of the other Mass gun alley denizens, they've already reserved a place in the CCW hall of fame.

I like my MK9's. I can't make the judgement for you unless I know your size, experience, and purpose for the gun. Everyday carry or just target shooting. A trip to Africa for elephant shoooting? Those kind of things.

Remember that the K9 was the original design. The MK9 came later and it took some design changes to make the smaller package work reliably. They did a good job with it, and if you really need or want the smaller size, you probably won't be disappointed. But to me, the proportions of the K9 are close to perfect. You can get a good, solid and comfortable grip on it, which, along with the slightly heavier weight, means less felt recoil and probably better control.
The K9 is small enough to conceal very well in a good ISWB holster. If I really need something smaller and even more concealable, I'll go with a true pocket gun as opposed to the MK series.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that all Kahr's are rated for +P and +P+ ammo.

I've heard +P, but not sure about +P+.

I've run plenty of +P through, and it's fine.

Yes both can handle +p+ per the factory. By the time I put on the grip adapter the Mk isnt much different in height than the K9. The grip adapter makes a big difference for me. I just put the Agrip on both but have not shot them since.
