I miss my Glock

Had to send my G-17 back to Glock for repair.
The frame pin was drifting out of the gun when
I fired it.

I know that Glock will take care of the problem.
And I will feel better about firing my G-17 without
that blasted pin coming out of it.

The problem I am having is withdrawls.;1
The rep. at Glock told me it would be a couple of
weeks before I will get my G-17 back.

I'm hanging in there, but after 5 days already,
I think I'm having the DT's. ;P

I bet it's back sooner than they told you. Glock is usually very quick about getting a gun back.

Hindsight being 20/20, I realize that I am not being any help here, but I assume that you have a single pin frame? Is the pin that walks out smooth or does it have 2 grooves in it? I believe that the fix for this is simply replacing that pin with ones that have "grooves" in it, and they might have just sent you one if you asked... although, it is always good to send the gun in to get it a good once over by our guys in Smyrna...

Also, GET OUT THERE AND GET ANOTHER GLOCK!!! That's why I have 9 (10th is on it's way, should be here by friday!).... so I am never without one!

Hello Wicked,

You assumed correctly. My gun does indeed have
the single pin above the trigger. To answer your
question, the pin does have the two grooves in it.
The rep. at Glock said that they would probably
have to replace the locking block also.

Right now I am saving to buy an AR-15. But after
that I will definately have to get myself another
Glock.

By the way. That is one nice collection of Glocks
you have there!

It's Back home!

I finaly got my G-17 back from Glock. Man, am I glad
to see it again.

So, I open up the box to check it out, and notice there
is a magazine in the gun. Which surprised me since I
didn't send a magazine in with the gun! So I pop out the
mag and,low and behold, it's a new 17 round magazine!
Man I love Glock!; ;f

Took it out and fired it, and every thing is fine now.

You gotta love Glock service. They are the BEST! ^5

They told you two weeks, it took about eleven days and they threw in a new 17 round magazine. What terrible customer service! Absolutelty disgusting!;f
