What do you plan to do with it? Just plinking or real target shooting?

There's really not much difference, any of those will shoot MOA with quality ammo. The AR-50 will have less felt recoil due to a better muzzle brake and a few more pounds.

Here's some of the drawbacks on the AR-50, if you plan to reload you can forget about finding the lands. The chamber is longer then the Grand Canyon is deep! So if you plan on getting serious with it, you might as well have the chamber set back or have it rebarreled. If you buy a used one, ask the owner if he had the trigger upgrade, the factory sent out a new sear & spring to owners that asked. The newer rifles come with this upgrade, like I said, if you plan to get serious with it you'll need to upgrade it like any other rifle. You'll also need to get the proper rings for the scope, if it's mounted to low the bolt will hit the cheekrest (adjustable) if it's to low.

Not owning a M99 I can't say what it's quirks are, having shot one I know it has more recoil then my AR-50. Some people will say get the Badger rings for it, I say get the factory adjustable. The other one I set up a scope on and shot was very simple to do with the factory rings and I think they have something like 50-60 MOA of adjustment built in. This will give you enough to shoot out past 1000 yards with a good scope/enough elevation travel (MOA's).

Basically it's gonna come down to which one YOU like. I really would like to have an EDM ARMS Windrunner or an M82 but money is the BIG issue, oh yeah AB50 didn't help either. Both are really cool but I had to ask myself if I really needed the options/price both rifles offer/come with.

For a Shell holder type IMHO you can't beat a Iver Johnson (sp?)5100. Very accurate, well built, brake is above avarage but not the best, about 1 to 1.5 MOA @1000yds (VERY good for a factory rifle).
If you are going to shoot seriously (F.C.S.A) you should really look at a custom rifle, mine will do sub MOA @ 1000yds as long as I'm doing my part..

Something like buying a McMillan receiver and having a rifle built buy someone who can do it right. They sell them in both single or magazine fed. You can also buy EDM receivers and do the same thing.
