Funny you should mention that, one of my friends swore that you could only get one shot, I disagreed. As I went to get the bore snake to clean my AK he unloaded a whole clip into the dirt floor of the gun shack. It def. rang my bell. I never figured a .25 could be so loud in a 20x20 shack.

I agree that they are the most reliable of all the SNS's around.

What kept me from ever taking that particular plunge was hearing way too many stories that ended with a witness at a holdup, where shots had been fired by a crook thusly armed, having a LEO ask him, "There's a little blood on your shirt. Are you okay?"

BuSee, it wasn't until twenty minutes later that these guys found out they'd been hit in the chest at pointblank range and hadn't felt a thing in the excitement.

That's why the only SNS-type pistol I have ever carried was an American Derringer in .45 ACP! If I had to use it, I am betting it would be a palpable experience for the BG...

Even the .32 and .380 are pipsqueaks unless you 'target tune' them to be accurate enough to shoot for the head, IMHO!;Q

Not a bad 25, mine is the nickel finish, shot quite a number of times with no failures. Kept it as a BUG with 25 Glasers stoked in it. Ever shot anything with a 25 Glaser? Took out a marauding possum in the watermelon patch ( no foolin ) and it blew the critter up. I am absolutely sure that a pelvic shot or torso shot at 5 or less yards will put a BG down for the count. This gun rides in the truck with my CCW G36 and a Marlin 1894C 357 carbine.

Don't mess with Texas, but do come and visit - we mostly are armed down here so we tend to be polite.

I can see the new ads. Raven .25 the ultimate in posum killers. We would have a hole new battle with the animal rights activists. Hell, between the drug dealers, pimps, old ladies, and varmint killers out there the Raven could be the most deadly firearm in the United States. Its a good thing they dont make them anymore because many small species of vermin could go extinct.;P

I bought one of these jewels over fifteen years ago. I later gave it to my dad who kept it loaded and placed in a closet storage area.

A short time ago, while visiting, I asked him about it and he retrieved it. He had not shot it since I gave it to him which was over five years or so ago. The same bullets I loaded in it were still in it.

We decided to take it outside and see if it would go bang after checking for obstructions, etc. Sure enough, it went bang through the entire mag!

Say what you want about the little Ravens, many LEOs used them in their day for backup and sure, it's a wimpy caliber. But, at least this little Raven works!

I cleaned it and reloaded it before dad put it back. That was after he ran a mag full through it, too!

The Raven is a good example of a cheap pistol that really works. It was a good design from get go. Some thing that Kel-crap should have copied a cheap pistol that works. Even lacking in power it was a very good Sat.-nite spec. for those who needed it.

I just picked one of these up at a gun show this past weekend. It only had a magazine put through it before the gentleman put it in storage. Mine seems to not fully cock after the 6-7 magazine goes through. It's nothing more than a little touch to the back and we're back to firing. From what I've seen with it, it's just getting a little buildup. Other than that I like it and it shoots fairly well at 7 and 10 yrds.

My Grandpa has one, and I know he didnt buy it in the last ten years. I havent shot it yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Now if I could just convince him to let me borrow it...
