I had an RG14 in .22, once upon a time...
- The double-action trigger pull weight was lighter than the single-action (cocked) trigger pull weight (approximately 25 pounds vs. 30 pounds). I could not take advantage of this "light" DA, however, because the gun would misfire in DA mode about 50% of the time.
- You unscrewed and removed the center pin to open the cylinder, and used the center pin to remove any fired shells or ammo by poking them out from the front side of the cylinder.
- The barrel was not threaded into the frame; it was held in place by a "yoke" that encircled the front of the barrel, passed along the top of the barrel to a slot in the frame, where it was pinned in place with a single pin. The whole assembly would wiggle on my gun.
- B/C gap was about .15"; more flame was visible at the B/C gap than the muzzle, and folks alongside of me were in danger of getting punctured whenever I fired.
I miss it; it was my best fishing-line weight...
All right, folks!! Get ready for a BLAST from the PAST!!!

I wouldn't own one of those if you paid me to take it, personally....

The holster is probably worth more than the gun...

Friend of mine has an RG-10 somebody gave him.
It misfired or didn't ignite a .22 with nearly every other shot.
But at the range we were shooting (5-7 yards) it did hit pretty much where we aimed. With a stronger hammer spring, it might have fired every time.

I actually own a RG .22 snub nosed revolver. It was given to me by my stepfather when I went off to college. My first pistol, and it still sits in my gun safe. I tried to sell it a couple of years ago and was laughed out of the first gun shop I took it to. ;g
I have one or had one it is missing. In single action mode it only fires ever other cylinder. This is a Calif. style saftey device. You have to be really really sure you want to shoot the target so the first trigger pull doesn't count. To avoid being an evil assault revolver you have to unscrew the retaing pin to let the cylinder swing free this prevent a criminal from making a fast reload. The RG 14 is the perfect handgun for Calf and would surely get the approval of Sarah Brady.

I think my dad still has a RG, don't know what model it is. I know it is a .38 special, looks similar to a Colt SA. IIR, it is double action. Heavy enough, and I don't ever remember it having any problems shooting standard .38s.

Yep, had one of these little babies back in the early 1970's.. Perfect hideout revolver to take on those motorcycle rides.. Of course it was a piece of crap. But, the one I had would actually shoot every time you pulled the trigger. It actually served the purpose at the time. I also owned a 25cal. "Galesi" automatic before that and it was definitely a POS. Just cheap little pistols for my extremely limited budget. ;9
