22 rifles

Yeah yeah... I'm not a girl. But my g/f is... ;e

Looking for a 22 rifle(cheaper is better) that has a shorter stock than normal. Probably not little kid size though.

Any suggestions? All we have found while looking are either what looks like a BB gun or one uber expensive bolt gun.

Or would getting a regular size and taking a band saw to the stock a better option?

Have you asked those guys over in the High Power club? Some of them might have some ideas :)

At 5'6", she really shouldn't need a cut down .22. My wife's 5'4" and shoots a Browning 22 auto quite well. It's light and very accurate. It could be a tad shorter for her, but it works OK for her.

We've tried. just isn't comfortable for her... Will keep looking for something that fits...

My wife shoots a Marlin YB15 Little Buckeroo. It is Marlin's youth sized gun. You could get a Ruger 10/22 and have a gunsmith shorten the stock. There may even be youth stocks available from Brownells. If you are interested in competition shooting Anschutz 1451 youth sized 22 rifle (What my 16 year old daughter shoots.)
