Bought my 1st 17! but HELP!!!

I bought a used G-17 for a good price, but I sure do need some help!
The ser# is CUL4xx...I maybe got ahead of myself on this purchase, because I was gonna swap out the "extended slide release" off my G-37, and IT WON'T FIT!!!Plus, now that I'm lookin' the G-17 I bought only has 1 pin above the trigger, and my '37 has 2!
This '17 has finger grooves and a tac rail, but the slide sure isn't as "shiney" as on my '37...have I got some "inbetween model"?
Boy. any info you can provide will sure be helpful! TIA

The serial # is CUL4xxUS
What's the "US " mean???

You have an early production 3rd Gen G17. The 2nd pin and different textured finish came later in production. The "US" in the serial # is for United States. I would'nt be concerned over the single pin setup. I have many thousand round's, including +P and +P+ without issue. Just go out and shoot the snot out of it. No worries. ;c

Thank you for your reply! I figured it had to be OK, cause it's a Glock, I just didn't want some odd-ball thing, and I got threw a little when I saw it only had 2 pins, and my G-37 has 3...

I got one of the 1st 3rd gens with the 2 pin setup and it has been flawless through 7500 rounds, including a lot of +p's. It is my primary home defense weapon (loaded with 22 rounds of 124 gr. gold dot +ps in my extended mag), you have nothing to worry about.
