View Full Version : First G19 and I'm in love . . .
Hello,
Just stopping in to share with you my impressions of my new G19.
It is my first Glock and I swore I'd never own one. Too unique -- I was taught to stay with tried and true. Found the pistol for sale at the Sig forums and got a very lightly used third generation G19. Took it to the range and have put 300 through it so far (wwb). Three double feeds, I attribute to user error (limp wristing). Gun shoots right where it looks -- dead on. Wife told me "that's the best I've ever seen you shoot."
My entire family has shot the gun. My daughters loved it. My oldest now wants a gun to shoot competition with. I shoot my first IDPA this saturday. She will watch along with wife and other daughter. Wife is in the market for an XD but I may convince her to check out a glock. I suddenly find myself wanting one of every model. Is this common??
I love my G19 and plan to keep and shoot it forever. I will read about as long as there are written words and I am looking forward to buying some of the videos I've seen about customizing, torture testing, etc. etc. Best $450 I ever spent.
Thanks for listening!
James

I would say it's common to want more Glocks, I don't know if it is common to want "ALL" the Glocks. That would be an expensive endevor. I have a G21 and am picking up my G19 tomorrow. I would like to have a G26 still, and maybe one of the .357Sigs (probably the full size frame). But I don't want all of them. I think I stretched it with my wife buying the G19. I hope to have her shoot it and get her interested in going with me to the range.
I understand most people think the G19 is one of the best Glocks to own, congratulations. I cannot wait until I pick mine up.

Why do you guys constantly do this? And by "this" I mean ask for a G1 Niners number and then b*t*h and complain that I do not address your request without CHECKING the official number list. The G1 Niners Club was my idea and I did all in my power to see it become a reality, why would I now sabotage it by refusing "membership" to anyone?
Jim1970, if you check the official numbers you will see that #1970 has been assigned to one "Jim1970" care to guess who that is? That number has been assigned to you now for at least 1 month.
To all others who are interested in joining the club, just PM me with you numbers request, I check my messages daily and ALWAYS post numbers as soon as I receive your requests.
Ambassador,
I emailed you on more than one occassion in the forum and via p.m. and received no response. I had checked the list several times to ensure the number I wanted was available. All I wanted was some notice that (a) you had responded, and (b) that I had been assigned a number. Was that too much?
Sorry to bug you. I feel there should be some basic down-to-earth standards that go along with this forum. Good communication should be a minimum, not something that irritates you.
Thanks for my number.

Numbers are posted in numerical order, if you checked you would have seen that 1970 was yours long ago.
Anyway, glad to have you in company.

James,
Please don't get an attitude. Check your Private Messages for a mesage from me dated 02-21-2005 sent at 07:26am. When I used my message tracking it said that the message up to now is still unread. That message reads:
"Hi Jim1970,
Welcome to the G1 Niners Club. you have been assigned #1970 as you requested. You said this was your second or third request. Not sure what happened there as I check my private mesages daily, but sorry for the delay.

I like the use of PM for number requests instead of actual posts. I assume it is easier to read your PM and not have to monitor the posts. I try to suggest a PM each time I see someone requesting, I don't know if it helps or not.
