How many off roaders do we have here? How about some 4x4 talk?

I enjoy the time I get to cruise or get in the forrest with my Wrangler TJ. Almost acts like a medicine to me.

I try to get off road as much as possible, no other crazy drivers, right?

I'm into guns and cars. I am also into being broke.:)

Looking at some older vehicles. One is a 78 Bronco 4*4. More likely to get a 2 wheel drive truck though. The bronco is a little rough, but would be a nice mudder.

Yea, I'm at the stage now that I need to regear and put on my 33" tires too. Tired of a 4.5 lift with 31's.

My wife drives a '98 XJ (Cherokee). Yeah, I know - damn unibody......

It's bone stock, but a beast in its own right. We take her off road at least once a month.

Nothing too crazy - but shee was yelling at me last time we went out. I got us down a rocky path, and had a little drama getting back up :). One tire off the ground, and the other three spinning and making all kinds of ugly noises. She wasn't pleased.

But I fell back, took a different track about a foot to the left, (so all four wheels would stay in contact ;)) and blasted outta there. Everything my wife stored in the visors and anywhere else got shaken loose and flew all over the place. CDs everywhere. Fun stuff!

We have a club in Charleston called Low Country Jeep Club. Meets every 2th Tuesday of the month. Lot's of good family folks too. We usually schedule several trips for group off roading events too.
Have to own a Jeep vehicle though.
I have been a member for a year now and learned much from the "Pros".

I have a 03 tj with the 6 cyl. X model. I take it offroad when i find a path or during hunting season but not alot. I don't know where there are alot of trails and I don't want to get shot at being on someones land that doesn't want me there.

That's why I joined the club. Learn from others mistakes and not have to make them myself!

We get together often for trail rides and rallies all year long. As a matter of fact, we're hosting the 3rd Aunnal 4x4 Show here in the Ladson area this next weekend of 12 March. Come out and join in the fun. The more the mearrier.

While the Jeep Club is hosting this we invite all 4x4 vehicles to compete, clean of dirty. All vehicles are classed by tire size and body.

A good day in the sun for the family from 11am to 4pm.

Remember G17Cabbie? He turned me on to this site right before he stopped coming here due to personal issues. (He's fine, just needs some time away.)

He says Hi to all the GT'ers.

He's got a 5.5 inch RockKrawler long arm kit under his 2004 Rubicon. He got a 1in body lift too, but ended up not needing it.

I just got back from a 3 day trip to Death Valley and exploring the Panamint mountians. We had our base camp in Balirat. There's some great 4 wheelin' in that area.

Unfortunatly i was just riding sotgun. This was the first time i've been four wheelin' in a long time. I've gotta get another jeep.

A few years ago I pulled out locker set up from a 96-97 cherokee. I can not remember the name of it or the gear ratio for the diff.

But........who ever wants it, it is yours. It does me no good sitting in the bottom of my tool box;Q

I used to run Suzuki Samerais, really really hard. Im now sporting a 96 Ford Bronco XLT (my favorite body style), its relativly stock, execpt I trashed the front auto hubs for a set of Warn Premiums. Next wil probably be some sorta sway bar dicconects if I can find some for both the front and rear, (Jeep guys have why cant I). I would really like to get a set of lockers front and rear, but that will be way later. Its a 5.8L (351), with the automatic. It drives good and has enough power for me. I roll with a 31x10.5R15 BFG All Terrains, wrapped around he stock chrome rims.

Im happy with it for the most part, since its one of my favorite vehicals of all time. I just have a thing for Ford Broncos.
