A few months ago I inherited this little beauty. I took it apart and cleaned it and I don't think that it has more that 15-20 parts total. However it has tons of safety devices (manual safety, chamber loaded indicator on top, magazine disconnect safety, grip safety ala the 1911, disconnector - to prevent firing if out of battery) I don't recall it having a firing pin drop safety, but not too bad for a little SNS. I shot the remaining box of ammo that came with it and what fun it was! I have since bought a couple of more boxes of ammo. The gun was likely built in the 1950s in Spain and is very high quality. It seems like every part in the gun does at least two completely different jobs. It really is an engineering wonder. If anybody has a chance to pick one up do it. It's called the Astra 200 Firecat. See photo!

What a great little gun!!!!
A copy of the FN 1905/1906, the most copied gun in hist
ory like I mentioned in another post. My Dad still has one like that, not that he carries it.
Hi Glock30fan,
Well made little pistols, certainly not a SNS in the derogatory sense of the word. Nice acquisition you picked up, hope you give it a good home! :)
Congrats.

Thanks guys! I think you are quite right. Not a Saturday Night Special because it is too well designed and built. But, being a small, foreign made, relatively inexpensive .25 it just kinda fits with the whole SNS theme. I was expecting more recoil, having shot a lot of .32 autos, but was very surprised to find it kicks about like a .22.
Neat little gun. I like the "Ruby" style safety and slide serrations

Astra Cub , aka Colt Junior, aka FIE Best.
Quite good for a little .25, has exposed hammer and small sights. Can get two fingers on the grip instead of just one.
Sad I sold mine.
