Cobb 50?

First of all I would like to thank them for sponsoring Glock Talk.

I, however, am trying to figure out why its twice as expensive as a comparable Bolt gun. If you are going to spend that kind of money wouldn't a semi auto or a match gun work better?

You are trying to compare apples and oranges. All other mag fed .50's are around $5K the good ones anyways. BUT the Cobb rifle has a 10 round mag, that is the largest capacity bolt action rifle in the world, did you know that. And they come with a hard case, bipod, 2-mags and sling. Sooooo you get what you pay for. I think Cobb is working on a conventional bolt gun with the same 10 round mag which will be below 5K. So give it a little time and you will see a less expensive version of the Cobb 50.;)
