According to this municipal code document, there are quite a few firearms that can be talked about in this forum. Including my beloved .38s, and probably some firearms you own that you might not have thought were SNS.

Toledo Prohibited Handguns (http://www.toledopolice.com/ord755-99.pdf)

Anybody know if this is still the law in Toledo?

Man, 95% of my little arsenal would be prohibited by these draconian rules..

At least I could keep my old Security Six 4" .......

BUT - I don't think I'm gonna be living in TOLEDO any time soon.. ;n ;n

Ohio is just a mid-west CA. They are over ran with stupied laws and SS /state patrol. They said one time they were going to lay off some state patrol. Put 1 at every mile post in state and lay off left over. Didn't do it hired more instead. Like CA I can't understand why any one wants to live their Dirty air dirty factorys, high taxes and oppressive gun laws ,just like CA. I left and found a better place, then my brother moved, followed by my sister, and our parents.

Taken from that .pfd:

SECTION 2.
(A) That this Ordinance shall be in force and effect from and
after the 120th day after its passage.
(B) This ordinance shall expire and be of no further force and
effect three years from the initial effective date.
Passed: September 28, 1999: yeas 7, nays 5.

I'm assuming it has expired. But who knows in this communist armpit...:(

Yes, the Saturday night special law is still on the books. It was renewed shortly before it expired in 1999.

That was the bad news, now for the good news. The SNS law bans "small, easily concealed" firearms. Section 9 of the state consealed carry law states " No municipal corporation may adopt or continue in existence any ordinance, and no township may adopt or continue in existence any resolution, that is in conflict with those sections, including, but not limited to, any ordinance or resolution that attempts to restrict the places where a person possessing a valid license to carry a concealed handgun may carry a handgun concealed."

The SNS is in direct violation of the state law. If it goes to court the city law will most likely be thrown out.

My advice is that you try not to be the test case. If you don't tell J-Fo about my Saturday night specials, I wont tell him about yours.
