Hey guys, got my new ISMI recoil spring today. I've worked the slide a few times after putting the spring on my new stainless steel guide rod. The ISMI in 18 pounder is noticably more stiff or heavy than the stock 18 pounder when racking the slide etc.. I've put abot 300 rounds through my gun with the stock 18# spring though.
So i was just wondering from others who have done this, does the ISMI loosen up and have the same feel after you put a few rounds through the gun? I haven't taken it to the range yet, but i'm anticipating the stiffer spring to make me have more felt recoil, which is the exact opposite of what i had hoped to acheive by going with a stainless steel rod!
