Been thinking about picking up a 1911 for awhile now. Found a Kimber custom II stainless with a 5" barrel at the gunstore, it was from there rental part, they say its got 3000 rds though it, looks pretty clean, they are asking $609. Does that seem like a fair price, would i be better off getting a new one. Does kimber have a good warrenty with there products. Thanks

hello there
if its a rental gun, you know its probably more rounds than what they told you, they are businessmen.....

youre better off with buying a new gun, if you are somewhere near any turners outdoorsman shop check their line of guns. they always have something on sale. or if you know some other gunshop check them out.

That's too many rounds for the price if you ask me and it probably has closer to 8,000 rounds through it like eclipse1 said. Not only that but if I was you I would try to find a used Series I Kimber. They have a bit better resale value and if you ever decide to send it off to have it customized some smiths don't like working on the Series II pistols.

Dont do it! The other guys are right about round count. Do you think they really keep count? I DONT THINK SO. For that kind of money, you can get a new black custom II...ok, 25 bucks more.Plus the range guns I see almost NEVER get cleaned, except for getting sprayed or dunked.....Do more shopping!!

I personally think the asking price is way to high for a used kimber custom II!In my area I have seen custom II's in the 629-729 price range!!!Pass!!!there is proabally a reason the want to get rid of it!!!!Buy new!!!!;m

I bought a NIB Kimber Custom Stainless II last week for just over $700 from a gun show. That is definitely too much for a used gun.
