If Walther chambered the P99 is .45 GAP/ACP, would you buy one?

.45ACP. .45GAP is an answer in search of a question.
And I would buy a .45ACP P99Ti in a minute!

I'd buy a Walther P99 in .45 ACP but not in the .45 GAP. If I want a .45's power, I want the .45 ACP, not the pretender.

I held off buying a SW99 .45ACP in hopes Walther would come out with their version. I have my doubts Walther will get involved with either caliber. I did finally buy the SW99 in .45. I haven't had any reliability problems, it's more accurate than I am and I wouldn't hesitate to carry it. Field stripped, it looks pretty much like the innards of my P99s.

I think the P99 is more likely in .45 GAP, because they can use the 9mm/.40 frame.

How does it compare to the size of the Glock 21 & 30?
Hopefully it would not look like the very Fugly .45 SW99.

I looked at a 45 S&W99 but it seemed too big,not comfortable at all.
I like the 45ACP better than the GAP. However, I also like the size of the frame and grip on the P99. In that case, the 45GAP would be the better choice for me in this particular gun.

I would go for either, probably the .45 ACP first. I need both in my collection and Walthers would be great additions. Only prob is then I would have to get the Glocks too :)

I never cared much for the larger framed Glocks. My hands aren't big enough to comfortably hold the gun. The SW99 grip fits my hands much better. The .45 is only slightly larger than my P99 .40 S&W.

No offense, but, no.
Truthfully, I wouldn't either. I'm happy with 16+1 rounds of 124 +P 9mm. I thought I'd ask here because I've met a lot of Walther owners who would like a P99 .45

I think if Springfield is successful with the XP and the new Mini-1911 chambered in .45 Glock, perhaps other manufacturers will take on the design. I would give a P99 in .45 Glock a good hard look.

I think if the P99 becomes more popular in America, they'd chamber it in .45 GAP/ACP.
