Actually, a 1991. This is just the prototype, but I want to have Bo-Mars and a match trigger installed. I figure it won't be too difficult since it is stainless and won't require refinishing. Any recommendations on a smith?

I'm pretty sure I rectified that. After four years at the Academy, I waslmost ready to accept that :)

I would leave it as you got it to maintain the Value.;)

Nah. I've wanted a standard 1911 for a while, and I'm never going to sell it, so collector value is of little meaning to me.

After seeing your Peacemakers and now the 1911, what else are you going to go for? These are some fine guns you are showing...

I have a pair of Randall Made knives on the way to compliment my existing collection of cutlery, but other than that, I am going to be taking it esy on the toy department for a while. I just bought a Bushie 97S and got a P3AT for my dad. I already have all the Glocks I need (20, 23, 34), my P9 covert for small carry, and my widebody .40 on an SVI frame for Steel Challenge competition. I have a few wheelguns (two already in .45 Colt) and a shotgun for every possible role. To me, I about have every genre covered, and covered well.
Basically, the only thing I see myself having a legitimate role for is a rifle for hunting deer out in Kansas and Missouri. I have a Guide Gun, but that is a lot more suited for the woods of upstate New York than the plains of the midwest.
Besides, once you have the best, why buy anything less? In my opinion, I could only really go up by spending a lot more, like upgrading my Beretta shotguns to Perazzi, or buying a Les Baer to replace my SVI, and I sure can't afford to do that. I guess we'll see what I do after my first deployment ;f
