Stripper Clips (In General)

I have a boatload of stripper clips for my Enfield and Mauser. I have been trying to locate them for my M38. I have been able to find some here and there but usualy in lots of 5 or less at prices of $2 or more each. I bought the others in bunches for a whole lot less. Did the commies just not make that many? Doesn't seem right. I can't believe they loaded rounds one by one. Anybody have any ideas? Or a good place to buy some for my M38 at a decent price.

lots of people now sell reproduction mosin strippers. unfortunately, they do not work nearly as well as the real thing.

the easiest way to get them was to hold on to the ones the russian imported surplus ammo came on. that ammo has long since dried up, but some people still have the clips.

they have a slightly different shape than the repros, and the ones i have handled have the arrow in the triangle stamp on them

expect to pay at least a buck each for real clips. repro prices are all over the place.

i only bought the strippers to use with my svt-40. turns out that its easier to remove and load the mag manually than use the clips.

personally i dont think the clips are worth the effort, but your results may vary.

oh yeah, the mosin clips were also occasionally made out of brass too

if you are interested, i have a buddy with at least 50 original russian clips sitting around, i can see how much he needs for them.

i talked to him earlier today, im not 100% how many of them he has. i think its somewhere b/w 30 and 50.

he is charging $2.00 ea for them, but he wants to see how many total of them he has so he can put together a total price for all of them.
