P22 serial# dating?

Anybody know how I can get a production date for my P22 from the serial#? Also anybody know the 'good' vs 'bad' serial# blocks? The mags that came with it are both -A's so I know they're ok.

You cant go by the letter, because they are not in sequence. Mine for instanance has a H and has been produced in October 2003.
What I've done, I sendt Walther in Germany an E-mail and they came back to me with the production date. All P22 are produced in Germany.
Basically everything after 2002 should be ok. Mine works perfect, no problem at all after I used some locktite on the nut and left the hammer cocked for 2 weeks to loosen the spring :)

Mine starts with a "L0xxxx and the fired brass that was shipped with it said it was test fired on 12/21/04

I did find out from another forum, that the 2-letter code on the barrel will give you rough dating--AA='00, AB='01,AC=02,AD=03, etc. That makes mine an '03, anyway.
