just got my 1st (used)9mm,100% german P99 AS, and can't wait to take it out and put a few rounds through it. i would like to get a QA(pre 2003 model)also, but that's not going to happen for a while.

so, my question is: if i buy all the internal parts, can this be converted to a QA trigger? is that an easy do-it-yourself job? gunsmith?
all comments and suggestions would be appreciated.
thnx.

;Q anybody?

i haven't fired a P99 yet, so i figured a conversion like that would be a nice way to try out both triggers.... and then decide on one.

There's at least one slide difference between the QA and the AS -- the decocking lever is physically smaller on the QA. I don't know if that equates to internal differences or not.

Have you looked at the parts diagram in the owner's manual to see how many differences there are? That might be a starting point to judge how difficult the job might be.
