Cool carbon fiber huh I wan't The G22 in Gray with the scope. This Firearm would be really cool if it had some hi-cap magazines :)

They make it in OD and call it a G22 Military!

Yeah, I agree. That's the only drawback to getting the G22, is the lack of Hi-Caps for them. The Marlin 88, and Ruger 10/22 both have tons of accessories. The Marlin being tube fed, holds over 10 rounds, and the 10/22, well you can do a lot of stuff with all the aftermarket mags out for that one. But, neither of them are the gun that the G22 is. Bullpup, 3 accessory rails, decent sights on it already (that adjustable apeture in the rear sight is pretty kewl). I did consider the G22 Military, as it would match my P99. However, my girlfriend wants the P22 in Titanium/black, and she's not gonna go for a carbon fiber P22 at all, so I figured I'd get a Walther in each color scheme. Thinking of getting the P99 9mm in the newest tan-ish color after I decide which one to get all black. Anyways, looks like a fun gun for sure. Just gotta get a BSA red-dot on it for ultimate can-killing fun!

Do you guys think Walther will ever make a model of there G22 in like .223 insted of the .22LR ? And is the Walther G22 a assault rifle? Because if it ain't it sure is a hi-tech looking hunting rifle :)

HaHaHa Squrriels and Rabbits better run and hide next fall when hunting open.

Hi folks,

well, this is my first post here at glocktalk. Please apologize my bad english.

The Walther G22 is a fun gun, developed under low cost aspects. It is surely not an assault rifle.

When I saw the rifle my first time, I was pretty disappointed about the quality. This is not the quality, the name "Walther" ist normally standing for.

If you buy the G22, you will get low quality for a low price.
You can have fun when you take it for plinking. For hunting take a Ruger 10/22. This will be the better choice.

The Walther works fine, itīs accurate, but itīs not very robust.
There are some rumours that Walther will produce a G22 in a stronger caliber, but I donīt think that this will be .223

Pherhaps a 9mm Luger, because the 9mm carbines from Beretta and HK are successful on the german market.

Oneof the gun rags has a Wlather ad for the G22.

The tagline?

Make Squirrels Surrender.

They're aiming at the hunting market with it.
