Which do you like best?
I have a K9 and a P9 Covert. Each is excellent. I like the feel of the K9 and the extra weight for carry is a non-issue for me. On the other hand, due to the shorter grip, I find it is often easier to conceal the P9 Covert. In consideration of the fact that the K9 and the P9 are approximately the same size, I have no need or desire for a P9. The only reason I don't carry the K9 all the time is the greater difficulty I have in concealing the grip lenght. Of course, the clothing and the holster are a significant factor with regard to concealent of any gun.
About a year ago I also could not decide which I wanted. I choose the P9 and have not regreted it. My decision was based on the weight issue. My previous carry before this was a Les Baer commander size 45acp. Even with a quality holster and belt, heavy is heavy. I realize the K9 is less weight then the commander size 45, but if your looking for a primary carry weapon I feel the weight difference between the P9 and K9 is significant. My P9 is accurate and reliable and no problems so far. I also have large hands and appreciate the longer grip.
Good Luck

K9..love it.I like the weight of the steel frame.
Carried in a good iwb..very comfortable. I have the sparks watch six.
Thanx for the replies. So far I'm leaning towards the P9. If I wasn't in the middle of planning a wedding i'd be going for one of each though!!!!

I own a K9 & a P9... every once & a while I'll carry the K9, but 99% of the time I can't talk myself into it over the P9... I mainly CCW the K9 out of guilt... ;f
Michigun,
Is that the P9 Covert to which you are refering? I noticed on another thread that the Covert is your favorite. Also, on the other thread, I noticed that the Covert has an agrip. Please tell about the difference between the agripped covert and a covert without the agrip. Thanks.

I was actually referring to my regular ‘ol standard P9 (my latest Kahr purchase some months back now), but I also own a P9 Covert & it is true that this is my favorite Kahr thus far… don’t get me wrong though, I like ALL 9mm Kahrs it’s just that I find my Covert the most useful.

Well, let’s see here; with an AGrip’ed Covert I no longer find myself having to readjust my grip somewhere through a magazine due to the recoil from such a small pistol… I find the same even with wet or sweaty hands & hear even bloody hands are no problem. I also no longer suffer from “checker bite” during the longer range sessions… the polymer Kahr has VERY aggressive checkering! I like the fact that the AGrip doesn’t grab at cover garments or grab the inside of my pocket slowing down my draw. I find that the AGrip feels nicer next to bare skin (I’ve opened myself up to some jokes on that one ;f) rather then bare polymer or the rubber type grips I’ve tried in the past. I like that the AGrip barely adds any thickness @ 1/32 of an inch, but that it can be applied over most any other material out there if I did what to add some thickness under it. (for instance, the AGrip works GREAT when applied over Hogue grips along with the added benefit of keeping that Hogue from slipping around)
I know I’m forgetting more good AGrip reasons… maybe after a coffee I’ll be able to gather my thoughts some more. :)
P.S. I pretty much AGrip everything… I’m about to AGrip my AR-15 now that I’ve got it the way I want it. ^c

P9! Great CCW pistol. I carry mine IWB (No Holster). Very light, deadly accurate, totally reliable. (I have over 4K rounds with NO FTF EVER!!!!!!!!!) If I want to feel a pistol on my belt, I carry my Glock G30. Same attributes, just a little more weight.;)
Get the Kahr P9. Mine is very reliable, accurate and concealable. It is one of my favorite carry guns. I shoot it periodically at IDPA competitions.
