View Full Version : I'm getting a new walther
I'm going to the gunshow this weekend to look for my 2nd Walther. I hope to find a Good PPK or PPK/s. So did Smith&Wesson make any PPK/s or PPK? Also on the side of the PPK it says Cal. 9mm Kurz/380ACP. What is 9mm Kurz?? I've never seen that Type of Ammunition.

9mm short, 9mm kurz or 9mm Browning... it's all .380 ACP. Euro-centric names

.380 ACP is the same as 9mm Kurz (Also called 9x17 by some).
You might consider the Sig 232 instead of the Walther PPK/S. I have had both. The trigger was lighter and reliability better with the Sig.

Well from what Iam reading it looks like S&W aren't making PPK/S their making junk!! If I was looking for a PPK/S I would be looking for a non S&W one. I belive S*W is putting no effort into QC of the Walters line.
I don't know why Walters doesn't come here a build their own factory instead of out sourceing to S&W .
I will buy another Interarms PPK/S as mine has been flawless in performace. In my pocket as I type this.
380 is 9mm kurz. I heard that a 9mm is a 380magnum ;f ;a ;f
The 9mm produces twice the energy of the 380 and is much better for self defense.

Are these guys kidding? Someone owns a PP/PPK/PPKS and isn't quite sure what ammo it takes, so they use .380?
I'm 99.999999% sure 9mm Kurz is another way of saying .380.
Like saying 9mm Luger or 9mm Parabellum or 9X19.
