According to much more learned Beretta owners, this mod is not recommended due to a lack of "extra" metal around the front sight.

Read this thread. (http://www.berettaforum.net/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=12;t=000660#000001)

I've read the same answer elsewhere, but can't recall where.

Or you can have your existing front sight drilled and insert a tritium vial and voila-- you have a night sight. I think Trijicon does it this way for Beretta 92s.

On a sidenote, this is one of the reasons why I went for the Beretta 92 Brigadier-- it uses a dovetail slot on its front sight.

Didn't say if you wantednightsights or was having a problem with POA/POI. Trijicon has acompany that does the nightsight thing. If it's the latter problem you can change the rear sight to make the necessary corrections much easier.

Yes, trijicon will drill the front sight and drop a capsle in. Or, U can spend a bit more money and buy a new slide from them. The Vertec slides and the Bridagier and Elite have dovetailed front sights
